Writing to Keep People Alive

I started tutoring this 11 year old kid that just moved here from Korean a little over 8 months ago. Yesterday I asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up, he looked at me with bright eyes and said, “I want to be a movie writer”. I smiled. “Why do you want to be a movie writer?” I asked. “I like writing stories” He said, “My little brother loves my stories, at home I made a theater and act out my stories with toys, he loves them. I charged him $1 for a season pass” He laughed, “Why else do you want to be a movie writer Seung Bin?” I asked. “Movie writers choose to kill people or keep people alive in their movies, when I become a movie writer, I’m going to be a movie writer that keeps people alive.”
